How it works…
If you are a person with a skin problem who wants to contact one of our staff, you can access the application by directly logging on NET SKINDOCTOR on your smart phone or computer.
After logging on, follow the provided steps to register, load up to 3 images of your skin condition and eventually select a preferred specialist who will assess and give you treatment advice on your skin problem. We advise each patient to select a specialist near his home area in case he/she will eventually need further physical contact to the specialist. Any participating medical staff may, however be selected.
On sending the images you will be requested to pay a small fee of 30,000 Uganda Shillings before your query can be answered. Please note that this fee does not represent payment for specialist advice but it is only a token which helps us to run our system.
You may then have to wait for up to 72 hours before getting response regarding your query. In case you have not received an answer to your problem within 72 hours please feel free to contact us.
Why not just go to the hospital or skin practice: Due to the very limited number of trained skin specialists, getting to see a dermatologist can be time consuming and expensive because of the long waiting list. During this time, small, banal skin problems may get worse, and serious conditions may become dangerous.
